Preparation of 1,1-Dibenzylhydrazine: This chemical can be prepared by chloromethyl-benzene. The reaction will needhydrazine and triethylamine, and the menstruum benzene. The reaction time is 2 hours with heating, and the yield is about 40%. 

Uses of 1,1-Dibenzylhydrazine: It can react with methanesulfonyl chloride to produce N,N-dibenzyl-N'-methylsulfonylhydrazine. This reaction will need triethylamine, and the menstruum dimethylformamide. The reaction also need the temperature -45°C to room temperature, and the yield is about 82%.  

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It irritates to eyes, respiratory system and skin, and is harmful by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed.
