Production method of this chemical: The 3-(Trichlorosilyl)propyl methacrylate could be obtained by the reactant of methacrylic acid allyl ester. This reaction needs the reagents of Cl3SiH, 0.05 N H2PtCl6, phenothiazine, and the solvent of tetrahydrofuran. The yield is 88 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for half an hour at the temperature of 80 °C.
Uses of this chemical: The 3-(Trichlorosilyl)propyl methacrylate could react with acetic acid anhydride, and obtain the 3-(triacetoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate and acetyl chloride. This reaction needs the reagent of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-para-cresol. The yield is 81 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 4 hours at the temperature of 75-80 °C.
