6-Chloro-m-cresol (CAS NO.615-74-7) is derived by the reaction of M-Cresol and Sodium hypochlorite ,with the stirring at 30-40 ℃, adding M-Cresol slowly into 9.5% -10% Sodium hypochlorite. then the temperature maintained at 30-40 ℃, stirring 1h, placed in daylight 48h, added hydrochloric acid ,neutralization to acidic ,separate oil layer, with a 1:1 volume of water washing, reservoir vacuum distillation, obtaining 6-Chloro-m-cresol (CAS NO.615-74-7).
