IR, UV, and ESR Spectra of the Allyl Radical in an Argon Matrix
Flash pyrolysis of precursors 1-4 yields allyl radical 5, which is isolated in an argon matrix at 10 K and identified spectroscopically (IR, UV, ESR).The anisotropic hyperfine coupling of the ESR spectrum of 5 can be simulated using a newly developed computer program.
