Provided herein are compounds for use as salty taste modifying or enhancing agents, and for use in modifying or enhancing the flavor of reduced sodium products and increasing palatability of products that may have reduced sodium content. Also provided herein are methods for modulating the perceived saltiness of a product by adding compounds as disclosed herein to the product.
