Two new acylated flavonols, montbretins A and B were isolated from the corms of Crocosmia crocosmiiflora. Their structures were established as myricetin 3-O-[β-d-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-6-O-caffeoyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl (1→2)-α-l-rhamnopyranoside]-4′-O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-β-d-xylopyranoside] and 3-O-[β-d-glucopyranosyl (1→2)-6-O-p-coumaroyl-β-d-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-α-l-rhamnopyranoside]-4′-O-[α-l-rhamnopyranosyl(1→4)-β-d-xylopyranoside] by spectral and chemical methods.
