Metalloporphyrin-catalyzed regioselective rearrangement of monoalkyl-substituted epoxides into aldehydes
Iron(III) tetraphenylporphyrin, Fe(tpp)OTf, is an efficient catalyst for the regioselective rearrangement of simple monoalkyl-substituted epoxides into the corresponding aldehydes.
SYNTHESIS OF METHYL KETONES BY RHODIUM AND RUTHENIUM CATALYZED OXIDATION REACTIONS UNDER PHASE TRANSFER CONDITIONS
The use of rhodium and ruthenium complexes as catalysts for the phase transfer catalyzed oxidation of olefins is described, and compared with the palladium catalyzed Wacker reaction.
