- Solubilities of 2-(6-Oxido-6H-dibenz[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphorin-6-yl)-methanol in the Selected Solvents
-
The flame retardant 2-(6-oxido-6H-dibenz[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphorin-6-yl)- methanol (ODOPM) for epoxy resins was prepared by the reaction of 2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)phenylphosphonic acid (HBP) with paraformaldehyde. The syntheses method is simple and can lower the production costs than conventional method. The basic solubilities data of ODOPM in water (303.57 to 361.63) K as required in the new process and in p-xylene (302.95 to 360.65) K as in the conventional process were measured. The solubilities of ODOPM in acetone, ethyl acetate, benzene, and toluene were also measured for comparison.

- DOPO-modified cyclophosphazene fire retardant and preparation and application thereof
-
The invention relates to a DOPO-modified cyclophosphazene fire retardant and preparation and application thereof. The structural formula of the fire retardant is as shown in the specification. According to the preparation, a DOPO hydroxymethyl derivative DOPO-CH2OH, phosphonitrilic chloride trimer and an acid binding agent react in a solvent so as to obtain the fire retardant. The DOPO-modified cyclophosphazene fire retardant is used as a blending additive flame retardant to be applied to thermosetting or thermoplastic polymers, or is used as a fire retardant for after-treatment to be applied in flame-proof treatment of textile. The prepared fire retardant is a phosphorus-nitrogen type fire retardant, and has good flame resistance, contains no halogen and is beneficial to environmental protection.

- Synthesis of flame-retardant phosphaphenanthrene derivatives with high phosphorus contents
-
Two novel types of phosphate derivatives of phosphaphenanthrene with a high phosphorus content were prepared by phosphorylation reaction between either 2-(6-oxido-6H-dibenzc,e1,2oxaphosphorin-6-yl)-methanol (ODOPM) or 2-(6-oxido-6H-dibenzc,e1,2.oxaphosphorin-6-yl)-1,4-benzenediol (ODOPB) and dialkyl phosphoryl chloride. The structures of all compounds were characterised by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. The thermal stability of representative compounds was determined by thermal gravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. The results showed that the compounds have excellent resistance to oxidation, high thermal stability with an onset decomposition temperature above 200°C, and a high char yield over 25 %, owing to the high P content. The representative compound was added to conventional electrolytes of lithium-ion batteries as flame retardant additive, and the self-extinguishing time and ionic conductivity were measured. The result showed that the compounds have effective flame retardant properties.

- PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF PHOSPHORUS-ATOM-CONTAINING PHENOL, NOVEL PHOSPHORUS-ATOM-CONTAINING PHENOL, CURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION, CURED PRODUCT THEREOF, PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD, AND SEMICONDUCTOR SEALING MATERIAL
-
Provided are a method for producing a phosphorus-containing phenolic compound in which reactivity is considerably excellent in the reaction between a phosphorus-containing compound and an aromatic nucleus of a phenol; in the case of using a polyhydric phenol or a phenolic resin as the phenol, a novel phosphorus-containing phenolic compound that serves as a curing agent for an epoxy resin and imparts excellent heat resistance to a cured product; a curable resin composition containing the novel phosphorus-containing phenolic compound; a cured product of the curable resin composition; a printed wiring board; and a semiconductor sealing material. An aromatic aldehyde (a1) having an alkoxy group as a substituent on an aromatic nucleus is allowed to react with an organic phosphorus compound (a2) intramolecularly having a P-H group or a P-OH group. The resultant reaction product is then allowed to react with a phenol (a3).
