- Device and method for continuous flow synthesis of 1,1-dimethyl-6-tert-butyl indane
-
The invention discloses a device and method for continuous flow synthesis of 1,1-dimethyl-6-tert-butyl indane. The device comprises a raw material tank A, a raw material tank B, a catalyst kettle, a mixing kettle, an overflow kettle, a first tubular reaction system, an acid-oil separation kettle, an acid hydrolysis kettle, an oil phase hydrolysis kettle and a purification separation system, wherein the raw material tank A and the raw material tank B respectively contain raw materials tert-butylbenzene and isoprene, and the tank bottoms of the raw material tank A and the raw material tank B areconnected to the mixing kettle through valves. The invention relates to the technical field of fine chemical synthesis. According to the method and the device, after the tert-butylbenzene and the isoprene are mixed, the mixture and a catalyst that is sulfuric acid are added into the overflow kettle in a double-dropwise-adding manner, and are mixed and reacted by utilizing a pump in the first tubular reaction system, cooling is performed at the same time, and after the reaction is finished, a product enters the acid-oil separation kettle through overflow to separate sulfuric acid, and qualified DMI is obtained after purification. The method has characteristics of high safety, stable quality and less three-waste, and can achieve the large-scale production of DMI.

- Aza-retinoids as novel retinoid X receptor-specific agonists
-
A new structurally simple series of potent lipophilic aza-retinoids RXR agonists has been developed. SAR studies for the N-alkyl-azadienoic acids described here demonstrate that the RXR activity profile is sensitive to the N-alkyl chain length. Further, we have expanded the work to include azadienoic acids, which exhibited many accessible conformations leading to a better understanding of the SAR around the series.
