A problem is to provide a liquid crystal compound satisfying at least one physical property such as high stability to heat and light, high clearing point, low minimum temperature of liquid crystal phase, small viscosity, suitable optical anisotropy, large dielectric anisotropy, suitable elastic constant and excellent compatibility with other liquid crystal compounds, a liquid crystal composition containing the compound, and a liquid crystal display device including the composition. The compound is represented by formula (1). In formula (1), for example, R1 is alkenyl; ring A1 and ring A2 are 1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene; Z1, Z2, Z3 are a single bond or —COO—; X1 is hydrogen or fluorine; L1, L2, L3 and L4 are hydrogen or fluorine; and a and b are each independently 0 or 1, a sum of a and b is 1, and when a is 1, at least one of ring A1 and ring A2 is 1,4-cyclohexylene.

The invention provides a preparation method of a CF2O-contained monomer liquid crystal compound. The preparation method comprises the following steps of (1) with a compound with a structure as shown in the formula I as a raw material, reacting under the catalytic action of a zinc reagent and copper salt and in the existence of a solvent to generate a compound with a structure as shown in the formula II; (2) enabling the compound with the structure as shown in the formula II and a fluorinated reagent to be subjected to fluoridation in the existence of the solvent to generate a compound with a structure as shown in the formula III; (3) enabling the compound with the structure as shown in the formula III and boric acid as shown in the formula IV to be subjected to SUZUKI coupled reaction in the existence of the solvent to obtain the CF2O-contained monomer liquid crystal compound with a structure as shown in the formula V, wherein the CF2O-contained monomer liquid crystal compound with a structure as shown in the formula V is as shown in the specification.

The invention discloses a method for preparing an intermediate compound represented by a formula A shown in the description for producing a difluoromethoxy containing liquid crystal compound. The compound A is prepared by taking 3,4,5-trifluorophenol as an initial raw material. According to the method, the operation is simple and convenient, the cost is low, and the yield is high, so that the method is applicable to industrial production.

- METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOUND HAVING OXYDIFLUOROMETHYLENE SKELETON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a compound having an oxydifluoromethylene skeleton at high yield with hardly generating impurities which is difficult to be separated, by a simple process without using a high toxic raw material such as dibromodifluoromethane. SOLUTION: A compound having an oxydifluoromethylene skeleton is obtained with good yield by reacting a thiocarbonyl compound, which can be obtained by reacting a halogenated thiocarbonyl compound and a specific compound if needed, with a compound represented by the formula XFn, where X represents chlorine, bromine or, iodine and n represents a natural number of 1 to 5.
