- High-performance black color paste and preparation method thereof
-
The invention relates to the technical field of black pigments, in particular to a high-performance black color paste and a preparation method thereof. The preparation process does not need to be subjected to grinding treatment, can be highly dispersed in the low-melting-point amphiphilic solid, can effectively improve the workability and repeatability, and reduces the chromatic aberration 10% - 1000%. The preparation method disclosed by the invention causes the components to react and discolor in the kneading machine, finally obtains the black color paste, and is simple in preparation step, easy and convenient to operate, easy to prepare and good in application prospect.

- Synthesis, electrochemical and optical absorption properties of new perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) and perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(benzimidazole) derivatives
-
A series of perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) (PBI) and perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(benzimidazole) (PTCBI) derivatives that are di-or tetra-substituted at the bay region by electron-donating or electron-withdrawing groups have been synthesized as soluble n-type semiconductors. Optical absorption spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis show that the nature of substitution at the bay region plays a crucial role in the modulation of the electronic properties of these PBI and PTCBI derivatives. Examination of these optical and electrochemical data in the light of energy levels identified by theoretical studies allowed a relationship between the structure and the electronic properties to be established. A relationship between the structure and electronic properties of n-type semiconductors from perylene-3,4:9,10- bis(dicarboximide) (PBI) and perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(benzimidazole) (PTCBI) series substituted at the bay region by electron-donating or electron-withdrawing groups has been established by using the complementary techniques of absorption spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis and theoretical calculations. - Green synthesis of polycyclic benzimidazole derivatives and organic semiconductors
-
Polycyclic benzimidazole derivatives, an important class of compounds in organic electronics and photovoltaics, were prepared using a solvent-free "green" process based on heating carboxylic acid anhydrides and arylene diamines in the presence of zinc acetate in the solid state. Products were isolated and purified directly by train sublimation of the crude reaction mixtures. The reaction conditions were optimized using various carboxylic acid anhydrides. Optical and electrochemical properties of these materials are also described.

- METHODS FOR PREPARING PERYLENE/PERINONE PIGMENTS
-
A method for preparing a perylene pigment or perinone pigment involves a condensation reaction between perylene tetracarboxylic acid or naphthalene tetracarboxylic acid, or anhydrides or imides thereof, and amines in the presence of certain metal catalysts, such as ammonium molybdate, molybdenum oxide, and metal carbonyls, such as hexacarbonylmolybdenum, titanium carbonyl, iron carbonyls, and the like. The use of these catalysts provides various advantages, including the reduction of the amount of the catalyst, while achieves high yields, the lowering of reaction temperatures, and the reduction of insoluble sludge in the reaction mixture, thereby making the reaction operation easier and reducing the amounts of hazardous wastes containing heavy metals.

- BLACK PERYLENE PIGMENTS
-
Disclosed are black perylene pigments containing one of the isomers of formula (Ia) or (Ib), wherein the variables have the following meaning: R1, R2 independently represent phenylene, naphthylene, or pyridylene, each of which can be monosubstituted or polysubstituted by C1-C12 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, hydroxy, nitro, and/or halogen; X represents halogen; n represents 0 to 4. The inventive black perylene pigments alternatively contain a mixture of both isomers and are provided with a black number ≥ 210 in an alkyd/melamine baking enamel.

- A "green" route to perylene dyes: Direct coupling reactions of 1,8-naphthalimide and related compounds under mild conditions using a "new" base complex reagent, t-BuOK/DBN
-
The direct coupling reactions of 1,8-naphthalimide compounds efficiently occurred at 130 or 170 °C without the intervention of the leuco form dyes in the presence of base complex reagent, t-BuOK/1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-ene (DBN), to give the corresponding perylene dyes in good yields with >95% purities. A possible mechanistic speculation for these oxidative coupling reactions is briefly discussed.
