The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: taking m-chloronitrobenzene as a raw material, carrying out high-temperature chlorination reaction, nitration reaction and fluorination reaction to obtain 2,4 - 2,4 -difluorobenzene and carrying out a methoxylation reaction with m-difluorobenzene as a raw material and carrying out methoxylation reaction to obtain m-fluorobenzyl ether; and the hydrogenation catalyst is a porous alumina loaded NiO-Co222O3-MoOO3 composite catalyst. - Energy down converting organic fluorophore functionalized mesoporous silica hybrids for monolith-coated light emitting diodes

The covalent attachment of organic fluorophores in mesoporous silica matrices for usage as energy down converting phosphors without employing inorganic transition or rare earth metals is reported in this article. Triethoxysilylpropyl-substituted derivatives of the blue emitting perylene, green emitting benzofurazane, and red emitting Nile red were synthesized and applied in the synthesis of mesoporous hybrid materials by postsynthetic grafting to commercially available MCM-41. These individually dye-functionalized hybrid materials are mixed in variable ratios to furnish a powder capable of emitting white light with CIE chromaticity coordinates of x = 0.33, y = 0.33 and an external quantum yield of 4.6% upon irradiation at 410 nm. Furthermore, as a proof of concept two different device setups of commercially available UV light emitting diodes, are coated with silica monoliths containing the three triethoxysilylpropyl-substituted fluorophore derivatives. These coatings are able to convert the emitted UV light into light with correlated color temperatures of very cold white (41100 K, 10700 K) as well as a greenish white emission with correlated color temperatures of about 5500 K.

- One-Pot C?H Functionalization of Arenes by Diaryliodonium Salts

A transition-metal-free, mild, and highly regioselective synthesis of nitroarenes from arenes has been developed. The products are obtained in a sequential one-pot reaction by nitration of iodine(III) reagents with two carbon ligands, which are formed in situ from iodine(I). This novel concept has been extended to formation of aryl azides, and constitutes an important step towards catalytic reactions with these hypervalent iodine reagents. An efficient nitration of isolated diaryliodonium salts has also been developed, and the mechanism is proposed to proceed by a [2,2] ligand coupling pathway.

- Simultaneous identification of Fenton degradation by-products of diclofenac, ibuprofen and ketoprofen in aquatic media by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry

Diclofenac, ibuprofen and ketoprofen are anti-inflammatory drugs intensively used both in human and animal treatment. Due to their high stability these compounds are partially removed by wastewater treatment plants and from this reason the development of some alternative treatments such as advanced oxidative processes are necessary. The main problems in the optimization of an advanced oxidative process rise from the difficulties which appear in the identification of degradation by-products necessary for the establishment of degradation pathway. In this paper a developed method for the simultaneous identification of Fenton degradation by-products of the three above mentioned pharmaceuticals is presented. The obtained results show the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry as a proper method for the analysis of the complex mixture of compounds resulted from the Fenton degradation process. Moreover, some compounds never mentioned in the scientific literature were identified. (Chemical Equation Presented).

- Preparation and NMR analysis of 2,6-heterodifunctional halobenzenes as precursors for substituted biphenyls

Preparation and complete characterization of 16 2,6-disubstituted halobenzenes, including nine new compounds, from two common starting materials is described. Seven of the new compounds contain one or two propylthio groups, which have been introduced in two ways. Direct reaction of arenediazonium salts with 1-propanethiolate gives yields comparable to those obtained in a three-step method through sulfonyl chlorides. The 1H- and 13C NMR chemical shifts of 17 1,2,3-trisubstituted benzenes have been correlated with the predicted values and the observed trends explained using commonly available modeling packages.
