- Construction and Characterization of 3,7-Dichloro-N-(2,6-Diethylphenyl)-N-(2-Propoxyethyl)Quinolone-8-Carboxamide: A Potential Novel Pesticide Compound

[Figure not available: see fulltext.] A novel compound, 3,7-dichloro-N-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-N-(2-propoxyethyl)quinoline-8-carboxamide was synthesized by splicing together a chloro-substituted quinoline moiety found in quinclorac (a selective herbicide) and a substituted amide moiety found in pretilachlor (another selective herbicide) using the active substructure splicing method. The chemical structure of this compound was characterized by 1H, 13C NMR, FTIR, high-resolution mass spectra and X-ray diffraction analysis. Pesticide potency (herbicidal and fungicidal activity) of this compound was evaluated. This compound displayed excellent control efficiency against Echinochloa crusgalli and also showed good fungicidal in vitro activity against Phytophthora capsici, Phytophthora sojae, and Phytophthora infestans.

The invention relates to N, N-di-n-propyl-2-propoxyethylamine, of which the molecular formula is C11H25NO; the preparation method comprises the following steps: heating chloroethyl propyl ether as a raw material to 100-180 DEG C, adding another raw material di-n-propylamine, carrying out a heat preservation reaction for 8-20 h, cooling to room temperature, adding an aqueous solution of an alkali to adjust the pH value to 8-10, layering, collecting an organic layer, and carrying out reduced pressure distillation to obtain the product N, N-di-n-propyl-2-propoxyethylamine. According to the invention, the N, N-di-n-propyl-2-propoxyethylamine is used as an auxiliary agent to be applied to synthesis of the pretilachlor key intermediate, and the problems that when the intermediate 2, 6-diethyl-N-(2-propoxyethyl) aniline is synthesized, the flowability of a reaction system is low, and the selectivity and yield of a target product are not high are solved.

The invention discloses a pretilachlor synthesis method. The pretilachlor synthesis method comprises steps as follows: sodium propanolate is dissolved in an organic solvent I, 2-chloroacetaldehyde dimethyl acetal is added dropwise, and heat is preserved until the reaction is performed completely; propoxy acetaldehyde dimethyl acetal and tetrahydrofuran are mixed, aqueous acid is added, and heat is preserved until the reaction is performed completely; 3-propoxy propionaldehyde, 2,6-diethyl aniline and an organic solvent II are mixed, a catalyst is added, hydrogen is introduced until certain pressure is obtained, and heat is preserved until the reaction is performed completely; amidogen ether, a sodium hydroxide solution and methylbenzene are mixed, chloroacetyl chloride is added dropwise at certain temperature, heat is preserved until the reaction is performed completely, and pretilachlor is prepared. With the adoption of the method, high-quality pretilachlor can be obtained.
