- Synthetic method for ethyl isoeugenol
-
The invention discloses a synthetic method for ethyl isoeugenol, and belongs to the technical field of fine organic chemical synthesis. The synthetic method includes the steps that eugenol and DEC serve as raw materials, the DEC is added stepwise and dropwise, under catalysis of solid alkali and a phase transfer catalyst, and through a reaction distillation technology, the ethyl isoeugenol is synthesized with the one-step method. According to the synthetic method for the ethyl isoeugenol, the relative-environmental-protection chemical reagent DEC is used for replacing high-toxicity and high-corrosivity diethyl sulfate used at present to serve as an ethylation reagent, and in stepwise and dropwise modes, a catalytic system of the solid alkali and the phase transfer catalyst is selected, andthe ethyl isoeugenol is synthesized with the one-step method; the eugenol-isomerization-and-ethylation two-step-reacting synthetic process needed at present and a one-time adding mode of DEC are changed. The synthetic method is a relative-environmental-protection synthetic route, the synthetic route is short, reaction time is short, the product yield is high, energy is saved, consumption is reduced, and the synthetic method for the ethyl isoeugenol has good industrial application prospects.

Oxidation of 1-arylprop-1-enes by using the reagent system CrO3-HClO4- CH3CN at 0-5°C gave seven products from methyl isoeugenol, five from ethyl isoeugenol, four from benzyl isoeugenol, and five from isosafrole. Cagayanone was obtained from isosafrole in one step. The structures of the products were elucidated and the mechanism of their formation is discussed.
