Dichlorocarbene adds to hydrocarbons of the adamantane series containing a system of cumulative and conjugated multiple bonds at the second carbon atom of the ring with the formation of the respective mono- and diadducts.The relative reactivities of the multiple bonds of the investigated unsaturated compounds in relation to dichlorocarbene were investigated.
