  • E. H. Sargent Model III Polarograph
  • Specification of E. H. Sargent Model III Polarograph

Following are the detailed information of E. H. Sargent Model III Polarograph:

The polarographic method was developed by Czech chemist Jaroslav Heyrovský in 1922. Three years later Heyrovský built the first polarograph with his Japanese colleague, Masuzo Shikata. Heyrovský was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1959 “for his discovery and development of the polarographic methods of analysis.” This particular model was recommended for analyses in which only one substance was being determined.

Polarography is a method of chemical analysis that uses current-potential curves and a dropping mercury electrode to indicate the substances that are present and their quantity.
