The Thermal Protection Systems Expert and Material Property Database, or TPSX, is a database for advanced thermal protection material properties.
TPSX is produced and maintained by the engineers and scientists of the Thermal Protection Materials and Systems Branch (Code ASM) at NASA Ames Research Center. This program is the result of a project to compile, maintain and provide easy access to the large amount of material property data used by ASM in the development of thermal protection systems (TPS).
TPSX Web Edition content for Worldwide Access:
ASA Ames Thermal Protection Materials
This database was compiled by the Thermal Protection Materials and Systems Branch at NASA Ames Research Center. Additional data was provided by NASA Johnson Space Center, NASA Langley Research Center, Aerotherm Corporation and S.D. Miller & Associates. The distribution and access of this database is restricted. Further dissemination is prohibited without specific written approval of NASA Ames Research Center.
NASA JSC PathFinder Materials
This database was compiled at NASA Johnson Space Center. A full reference of the materials in this database can be found in: "Thermal Protection Materials: Thermal Physical Property Data", D. Curry, S.D. Williams, NASA Reference Publication 1289, December 1992.
K&K Associates Materials
This database was compiled and supplied by K&K Associates. The property data is derived from the reference "For Computer -Conduction Calculations A Compilation of Thermal Properties Data", A.L. Edwards, UCRL-50589, Feb. 24, 1969. |
