Uses of Di-tert-butylmethylchlorosilane: It can react with Tri-tert-butylsilylnatrium to produce 1,1,1,2,2-penta-tert-butyl-2-methyl-disilane. This reaction will need menstruum tetrahydrofuran. The reaction time is 5 hours with temperature of 20°C, and the yield is about 79%.
