Typical Procedure for the Gold-Catalyzed 10H-Ben-
zo[b]fluorenes Synthesis
1.00 equiv. of the diyne was dissolved in benzene and
5.00 mol% of DAC-IPr-NTf2 were added. The reaction mix-
ture was stirred at 808C until complete conversion was de-
tected by TLC. The solvent was removed under reduced
pressure and the crude product was purified by flash column
chromatography.
