In summary, it is concluded that in adult patients
with adulthood onset GH deficiency, left ventric-
ular diastolic function at rest is impaired. This find-
ing might indicate the preclinical stage of a spe-
cific cardiomyopathy due to GH deficiency. Fur-
ther studies are needed to determine the patho-
physiological mechanisms responsible for dias-
tolic dysfunction in patients with GH deficiency.
