ent in the solution forming a highly reactive species (as a
radical), that in turn reacts with the H-phosphinic
acid.25 Further work will be required to delineate the
mechanism of the reaction. In summary, an efficient
step- and atom-economical method to access phos-
phonic acids was developed.
