4 Conclusions
In summary, a two-step approach was presented to prepare
GO supported Pd nanocatalysts. The modification of GO
with TMG made the distribution of Pd nanoparticles on the
GO support uniform with small particle size and narrow
size distribution. The Pd-TMG/GO catalyst exhibited high
activity with a turnover frequency (e.g., 7100 h1) as well as
superior selectivity to citronellal (e.g., 89.6%) under green
and mild conditions. Moreover, the catalyst can be reused
for five times without obvious activity loss, which resulted
from the stable structure of the catalyst. This method may
also be extended to prepare other noble metal nanoparticles
(such as Au and Pt) immobilized catalysts on GO, and fur-
ther work is underway.
