in a bottle. 200 mg L of propylene oxide was injected into the
sealed bottle and was kept for 24 h. When the fumigation
process was finished, the fumigated raisins were transferred
into the head space bottle of 20 mL and set in an oven at 60 1C
for 30 min to ensure the sufficient release of propylene oxide.
And then the propylene oxide residue was injected into the
proposed CTL system and GC/MS for determination.

The in situ DRIFTS experiments were performed using a Nicolet
iS10 spectrometer with an MCT-A detector and a DRIFT cell,
and the operating conditions are listed as follows. The reaction
temperature was increased from room temperature to 210 1C

with a heating rate of 10 1C min and held for 10 min. The
background spectra were collected at 210 1C before the intro-
duction of the reactant and the carrier gas. The mixed gas
containing propylene oxide and oxygen was then introduced
into the reaction cell with an aeration flow of 30 mL min and
the spectra were obtained at certain intervals. Each spectrum

Methods for the mechanism study of CTL reaction
To investigate the intermediate products, the reaction gas was
introduced into the GC/MS system for analysis. The experi-
mental operation is indicated below. 2 mL of propylene oxide
was injected into the closed reaction cell full of oxygen and
reacted at a temperature of 200 1C. Then 0.1 mL of the reaction
gas was collected using a syringe at different reaction times,
and the gas was injected into the GC/MS for separation and
identification. The detailed conditions of the GC/MS are listed
as follows. GC: injection port temperature: 150 1C, column oven
