the rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric 1,4-addition reaction.
In summary, we have developed a palladium-catalyzed asym-
metric 1,6-addition of diarylphosphines to electron-deficient
dienes, furnishing the optically active allylic phosphine deriva-
tives in good yields with high enantioselectivity.
