In summary, we demonstrated that readily available [Ir(COD)Cl]2/tris(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)phosphite was an efficient catalyst for
the addition reactions of arylboronic acids with aldehydes. Our study provided a general, convenient transition metal catalyst for the
addition reactions of arylboronic acids with aldehydes. Our future work will be directed toward the asymmetric version of this
reaction.
