In summary, we reported here a heterogeneous porous ionic
polymer catalyst (PiP@QA) that was synthesized from the
Friedel–Crafts alkylation reaction of 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol with
formaldehyde dimethyl acetal and subsequent Williamson ether
reaction with quaternary ammonium bromide. We have demon-
strated that the PiP@QA presented improved speciꢁc surface

in the absence of solvent. PiP@QA is easy-to-recovering and
has been demonstrated to retain complete catalytic activity and
selectivity for over six runs. Moreover, PiP@QA exhibits high
