were achieved under the optimal conditions. The scope of
substrates was further explored, and both cyclic and linear
alkenes are suitable for the catalytic system. Particularly, the
epoxidation of biomass-originated terpenes, like norbornene
and pinene, received satisfactory results, demonstrating such
catalytic system is promising to be applied in food and per-
fume industries. In addition, IR spectra illustrated that par-
tial loss of catalytic activity after catalyst recycling might
be attributed to the smooth oxidation of aldehyde groups on
the catalyst during reaction, which demonstrates the signif-
cance of metal coordination surroundings, hence, providing
inspirations on the design of heterogeneous catalysts based
on metal complexes.
