combustion of auxiliary materials. In this work, no auxiliary materials were used (except a
small amount of Terylene film), and that was favourable for the precision of the results.
The cause of the difference in the two experimental values of the massic energy
of combustion of DD is attributed to insufficient purity of the sample of DD used in
reference 8, such as impurities of noncombustible and combustible substances (moisture or
others). This assumption can explain also the low recovery of CO2 in combustion products
of the previous sample. All the factors mentioned above, in our opinion, provide convincing
proof of the reliability of the results obtained in the present investigation, and the value of

can be recommended for further thermodynamic calculations.
