The sample injection volume was 5 L. Separations were per-
formed at a flow rate of 0.5 mL/min using an isocratic solvent of
5 mM NaClO -25 mM KH PO buffer (pH 2.5) containing 1%
CH CN. In order to elute slow-moving components, a solvent con-
taining a higher concentration of CH CN (usually 10%) in the buffer
solution as above was flushed for 25 min after each analysis. The
mobile phase was filtered through a 0.45 m membrane filter
and sufficiently degassed in an ultrasonicator with suction before
