Maduramicin , with cas registry number of 61991-54-6, is a kind of Anti-Bacterial Agents, Anti-Infective Agents, Drug / Therapeutic Agent, Natural Product. It is isolated from Actinomadura rubra. It also has other synonyms such as Maduramycin ; A-13001-C ; Antibiotic A-13001-C . It is white crystalline powder with special odor.
Maduramicin has anticoccidial activity to a broad spectrum incuding anticoccidial pairs and first-generation schizont spores. This product can also effectively control the six kinds of common chicken coccidia, and also has a good preventive effect to Ap coccidiosis. It is often used in the feed with 5 ~ 10g per 1000kg feed. Maduramicin can not be used with Oleandomycin , or Tiamulin together. This product should be sealed first and stored in ventilated, cool, dry place with no pollution, no toxic and hazardous compounds.
Maduramicin can be determined by liquid chromatography. Tavcar-Kalcher G and his team has carried out a single laboratory validation for the determination of maduramicin in concentrates, premixes, and feed by liquid chromatography published in 2009. Other toxicity data has been studied such as:
