Preparation and uses of Oxyfluorfen: It can start from the reaction between  3,4-dichloro benzotrifluoride and resorcinol salt(mixture ratio 1: 4) in the temperature of 140-160°C. Acylate the result with acetic anhydride, and then nitrify with mixed acid in the temperature of 20-30°C. Saponify with inorganic acid, and react with equimolar bromethyl. Then you can get the Oxyfluorfen. What's more, it is used as low toxic and tag-type herbicides.

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It is a highly flammable chemical which irritates skin. It is very toxic to aquatic organisms, and may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. What's more, it may cause lung damage if swallowed, and its vapors may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: This material and/or its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste; Avoid release to the environment. Refer to special instructions safety data sheet; If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.
