Potassium fluoroaluminate Specification

The Potassium aluminum tetrafluoride, with the CAS registry number 14484-69-6 and EINECS registry number 238-485-8, has the systematic name of potassium tetrafluoroaluminate(1-). And the molecular formula of this chemical is KAlF4. It is a kind of solid which is sensitive to moisture, and it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. What's more, it is used as pesticide, and it is also used in the Glass and ceramics industries.

Preparation of Potassium aluminum tetrafluoride: Hydrofluoric acid reacts with aluminium hydroxide, and gives hydrofluoaluminic acid. Then hydrofluoaluminic acid reacts with withpotassium hydroxide under a high temperature, and you can get the deesired product after a series of filtration, drying, fusing and smashing.

You should be cautious while dealing with this chemical. It irritates eyes, respiratory system and skin. And if contact with acids, it will liberate toxic gas. Therefore, you had better take the following instructions: Do not breathe dust; Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection, and in case of contacting with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice; In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show label where possible).

You can still convert the following datas into molecular structure:
(1)SMILES: [K+].F[Al-](F)(F)F
(2)InChI: InChI=1/Al.4FH.K/h;4*1H;/q+3;;;;;+1/p-4/rAlF4.K/c2-1(3,4)5;/q-1;+1
(3)InChIKey: SKFYTVYMYJCRET-CLUKDOEBAI
