Uses
myrtle oil is astringent and anti-septic with botanical properties closely resembling those of eucalyptus. It is also used as a fragrance ingredient, and can be a deodorant. Its use is indicated for acne and oily skin. Its constituents include cineol, myrtenol, geraniol, linalool, camphene, and borneol. Myrtle is obtained by distillation of the plant’s flowers, leaves, and stems.
