  • Uses Silicone oil AR 20 has been used as a segmenting fluid in polymerase chain reaction (PCR). It can be used in hollow fiber liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) procedure for extraction of hydrophobic drugs from human breast milk. It can also be used as a fluid to demonstrate pores in droplet interface bilayers (DIBs). Silicone oil AP 100 can be potentially used as a carbon paste binder for the formation of tyrosinase electrode for biosensor applications. It forms a thin layer that facilitates the micro extraction of drugs from human breast milk.
