Production method of this chemical: The Propane,1,1,3-trimethoxy- and 2-(3,3-dimethoxy-propoxy)-ethanol could be obtained by the reactants of 2-(2-[1,3]dioxolan-2-yl-ethoxy)-ethanol and 2-(3,3-dimethoxy-propoxy)-ethanol. This reaction needs the reagent of NaOH-MeOH. The yield is 13.7 % and this reaction should be taken for 14 hours. In addition, this reaction needs heating.

The Propane,1,1,3-trimethoxy- and 2-(3,3-dimethoxy-propoxy)-ethanol could be obtained by the reactants of 2-(2-[1,3]dioxolan-2-yl-ethoxy)-ethanol and 2-(3,3-dimethoxy-propoxy)-ethanol.

Uses of this chemical: The 9-(1,3-dimethoxy-propyl)-9H-carbazole could be obtained by the reactants of Propane,1,1,3-trimethoxy- and carbazole. This reaction needs the reagent of BF3 etherate, and the solvent of dioxane. The yield is 78 %. This reaction should be taken for 5 hours at the temperature of 70 °C.

The 9-(1,3-dimethoxy-propyl)-9H-carbazole could be obtained by the reactants of Propane,1,1,3-trimethoxy- and carbazole.
