Uses of this chemical: The Silane,1,1'-(1,6-hexanediyl)bis[1-chloro-1,1-dimethyl- could react with benzoic acid trimethylsilanyl ester, and obtain the 1,6-bis(benzoyldimethylsilyl)hexane and chloro-trimethyl-silane. This reaction needs the solvent of dimethylformamide. The yield is 64 %. In addition, this reaction should be taken for 3 days at the temperature of 70 °C.
