Uses: it is used to produce other chemicals. For example, it is used to produce Methyl-carbamic acid 4-methyl-2-oxo-2H-chromen-6-yl ester. This reaction needs reagent POCl₃. Other condition of this reaction is reaction time of 10 hours at 60 °C. The yield is about 30 %.
