Its ability to break down organic matter and kill microorganisms makes it a valuable component in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Used in Swimming Pool Sanitation:
Sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate is also used in the sanitation of swimming pools. It helps to maintain the required chlorine levels, which are essential for killing bacteria, algae, and other contaminants, ensuring a safe and clean swimming environment.
Used in Textile Industry:
In the textile industry, hypochlorous acid, sodium salt, pentahydrate is used as a bleaching agent. Its strong oxidizing properties enable it to whiten fabrics and remove stains effectively, making it a valuable tool in the production of clean and bright textiles.
Used in Paper and Pulp Industry:
Sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate is also employed in the paper and pulp industry for bleaching purposes. It helps to remove impurities and color from the raw materials, resulting in a brighter and higher-quality final product.
Synthesis
The high concentration Sodium hypochlorite solution was prepared by passing chlorine gas into 45~48% Sodium hydroxide solution, filtering to remove the precipitated Sodium chloride, and cooling the filtrate to about 15℃, Sodium hypochlorite pentahydrate crystals were precipitated, and the product was obtained by centrifugal filtration.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 10022-70-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,0,0,2 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 10022-70:
(7*1)+(6*0)+(5*0)+(4*2)+(3*2)+(2*7)+(1*0)=35
35 % 10 = 5
So 10022-70-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
