Cyclopropene-2 ylalkyl radical, obtained by tributyltin hydride reduction of 2,3-dialkylcyclopropene-2 ylmethylketones follows a very selective evolution according to the substituents in the ring.Ring enlarged products (2,3,5-trialkylfuranes) and olefinic or saturated products resulting from ring cleavage can be isolated.
