Description
Reactive Blue 14 is a gray-blue powder that is soluble in water and exhibits a colorful green light blue color. It is known for its strong resistance to sulfuric acid, which turns it green, and nitric acid, which gives it a colorful blue appearance. When diluted, it becomes a shallow blue. Its water solution is blue, and upon the addition of sodium hydroxide, its color and lustre remain constant. Further addition of insurance powder and warming results in a purple color, which can be reverted to light blue with the addition of boric acid sodium.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Reactive Blue 14 is used as a dye for cotton cloth, specifically for roll the knot dyeing, dyed, and continuous rolling dye. It is also suitable for direct cotton dyeing and discharge printing.
