12626-81-2 Usage
Description
Lead zirconium titanium oxide, also known as PZT ceramics, is a piezoelectric material composed of lead zirconate and lead titanate. It exhibits a wide range of dielectric constants, piezoelectric activity, and primary transition temperatures, making it a versatile compound for various applications.
Uses
Used in Electronics Industry:
Lead zirconium titanium oxide is used as a component in FM-coupled mode filters, resonators in microprocessor clocks, and audio tweeters and beepers due to its piezoelectric properties.
Used in Photography Industry:
It is used as a component in photoflash actuators, which help in triggering the flash in cameras.
Used in Automotive Industry:
Lead zirconium titanium oxide is used in phonograph cartridges and gas ignitors, contributing to the functioning of these devices.
Used in Medical Industry:
It is used in the production of ultrasonic transducers, which are essential for medical imaging and diagnostics.
Used in Environmental Monitoring:
Lead zirconium titanium oxide is used in hydrophones, which allow for the detection and monitoring of sounds transmitted through water.
Used in Piezoelectric and Electro-Optic Devices:
It is utilized in the development of piezoelectric and electro-optic devices due to its unique properties.
Industrial uses:
Lead zirconate titanate, with the general formula Pb(Zr0.4Ti0.3)O3 to Pb(Zr0.9Ti0.1)O3, is used mainly in the manufacture of piezoelectric ceramic elements. The wide range of possible compositions provides a broad spectrum of dielectric constant values, piezoelectric activity, and primary transition temperatures, which are generally greater than those possible with barium titanate. Small additions of niobium, strontium, barium, and antimony serve as modifiers. Two techniques for producing PZT powders are used today: calcining (CMO), which is the more common method of powder production, and the calcine is then formed and fired in its final shape. PZT is the most widely used polycrystalline piezoelectric material, and its electrical output can measure pressure.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 12626-81-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,2,6,2 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 12626-81:
(7*1)+(6*2)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*6)+(2*8)+(1*1)=92
92 % 10 = 2
So 12626-81-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
