Description

Solvent Blue 38, also known as Fast Blue MBSN, is a brilliant green-blue powder that exhibits good solubility in solvents. It is a dye with various applications, including its use as a myelin-sheath stain in microscopy to detect demyelination in the central nervous system. It also has properties such as light fastness, heat resistance (melting point between 195-225°C), and stability in the presence of water, sodium carbonate (5%), and hydrochloric acid (5%).

Preparation

Copper phthalocyanine with fuming sulfuric acid at 50 ~ 60 ℃ heating for 10 to 15 hours, and then disulfonated and converted into amine salts.
