1332-09-8 Usage

Description

Pumice Stone, also known as pumice, is a highly porous igneous rock that is light and full of cavities due to expanding gases that were liberated from solution in the lava while it solidified. It is usually acid (siliceous) in composition, insoluble in water, and not attacked by acids. Pumice is often light enough to float on water and has a glassy texture, containing 67-75% SiO2 and 10-20% Al2O3, with potassium, sodium, and calcium generally present.

Uses

Used in Construction Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a concrete aggregate for its lightweight and porous properties, which contribute to better insulation and reduced weight in construction projects.
Used in Filtration Systems:
Pumice Stone is used as a filtration medium for its high porosity and ability to effectively separate solid particles from liquids.
Used in Manufacturing Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a scouring preparation for its abrasive qualities, making it suitable for cleaning and polishing various surfaces.
Used in Road Construction:
Pumice Stone is used in road construction for its lightweight and porous properties, which contribute to better insulation and reduced weight in road pavements.
Used in Glass and Plastics Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a finishing agent for glass and plastics, providing a smooth and polished surface.
Used in Cosmetics Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a pedicure polishing agent for its abrasive qualities, helping to remove dead skin cells and smoothen the skin.
Used in Paint Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a paint filler for its lightweight and porous properties, which contribute to better insulation and improved paint performance.
Used in Absorbents:
Pumice Stone is used as an absorbent material for its high porosity and ability to absorb liquids effectively.
Used in Catalyst Support:
Pumice Stone is used as a support for catalysts in various chemical reactions due to its high surface area and porosity.
Used in Dental Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as a dental abrasive for cleaning and polishing teeth.
Used in Rubber Industry:
Pumice Stone is used as an abherent for uncured rubber products, helping to prevent sticking and improve processing.
Used as a Substitute for Asbestos:
Pumice Stone is used as a possible substitute for asbestos in certain applications due to its lightweight and porous properties.
Used in Environmental Applications:
Pumice Stone is used for heat and sound insulation in various applications, providing an effective barrier against unwanted noise and temperature fluctuations.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1332-09-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,3,3 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1332-09:
(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*9)=48
48 % 10 = 8
So 1332-09-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
