Usage

Description

Menthyl anthranilate is a fluorescent agent and a UV filter that can be used as an alternative to oxybenzone. It is majorly used in sunscreen-based products and is the only FDA-approved liquid sunscreen chemical with UVA-absorption capabilities. It has an approved usage level of 3.5 to 5 percent and is a stable ingredient that can be combined with other sunscreen chemicals to increase SPF while providing UVA protection.

Menthyl anthranilate is used as a UV filter in skin care formulations for its ability to absorb UVA and UVB radiation, protecting the skin from harmful sun exposure.
