Uses

Used in the Preparation of Polysulfide Elastomers:
Sodium polysulfide is used as a precursor for the preparation of polysulfide elastomers, which have a rank close to that of the sodium polysulfide solution from which they are formed. The rank of these elastomers generally ranges from 2 to 4, with higher sulfur content elastomers having better solvent resistance.
