1374601-40-7 Usage
Description
BRD4770 is an inhibitor of euchromatin histone methyltransferase 2 (EHMT2), also known as G9a. It functions by decreasing diand trimethylation on lysine 9 of histone 3, with an EC50 value of 5 μM. BRD4770 has been found to induce senescence in pancreatic cancer cell line PANC-1 without initiating apoptosis and effectively blocks both anchorage-dependent and –independent proliferation of PANC-1 cells.
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
BRD4770 is used as an inhibitor for [application type] targeting [application reason] euchromatin histone methyltransferase 2 (EHMT2) to decrease diand trimethylation on lysine 9 of histone 3. This inhibition has potential applications in the development of therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer, as it induces senescence in PANC-1 cells without causing apoptosis and inhibits their proliferation.
Used in Cancer Research:
BRD4770 is used as a research tool for [application type] studying [application reason] the role of EHMT2 in pancreatic cancer cell line PANC-1. By understanding the effects of BRD4770 on cell senescence and proliferation, researchers can gain insights into the underlying mechanisms of pancreatic cancer and potentially identify new therapeutic targets.
Used in Drug Development:
BRD4770 is used as a lead compound for [application type] developing [application reason] novel inhibitors targeting EHMT2. The compound's ability to induce senescence and block proliferation in PANC-1 cells makes it a promising candidate for further optimization and development into a potential therapeutic agent for pancreatic cancer treatment.
Biochem/physiol Actions
BRD4770 is a selective inhibitor of the histone methyltransferase G9a. BRD4770 blocks lysine residue 9 methylation of histone H3 without inducing apoptosis. In PANC-1 cells, BRD4770 activates the ataxia telangiectasia mutated (ATM) pathway, induces senescence and inhibits anchorage-dependent and -independent growth.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1374601-40-7 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,3,7,4,6,0 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1374601-40:
(9*1)+(8*3)+(7*7)+(6*4)+(5*6)+(4*0)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*0)=147
147 % 10 = 7
So 1374601-40-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
