Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 15035-72-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,5,0,3 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 15035-72:
(7*1)+(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*3)+(3*5)+(2*7)+(1*2)=80
80 % 10 = 0
So 15035-72-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Recovery hydrogen from hydrogen sulfide is an effective way of utilizing exhaust gas. In this paper, removal of hydrogen sulfide by indirect electrochemical process was studied using acidic aqueous solution of Fe3+/Fe2+ as the electrochemical intermediate. Solid polymer electrolyte was applied t...detailed

hydrogen sulfide (cas 15035-72-0) and environmental stresses07/20/2019

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is part of a suite of small reactive molecules which are known to be involved in cell signaling events in plants. It is produced by cells, can move around, including through membranes, and can be removed when no longer needed. It is perceived by cells, partly through persu...detailed

In situ determination of polysulfides in alkaline hydrogen sulfide (cas 15035-72-0) solutions07/21/2019

A method was developed to determine low concentrations of polysulfide ions (Sn2− expressed as zero-valent sulfur) in situ and in the presence of high concentrations (0.5 mol dm−3) of hydrogen sulfide ions, HS−, at pH 14. UV–visible spectrophotometry was used to determine absorbances at 295 and ...detailed

Understanding hydrogen sulfide storage: Probing conditions for sulfide release from hydrodisulfides

Bailey, T. Spencer,Zakharov, Lev N.,Pluth, Michael D.

supporting information, p. 10573 - 10576 (2014/08/18)

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an important biological signaling agent that exerts action on numerous (patho)physiological processes. Once generated, H2S can be oxidized to generate reductant-labile sulfane sulfur pools, which include hydrodisulfides/persulfides. Despite the importance of hydrodisulfides in H2S storage and signaling, little is known about the physical properties or chemical reactivity of these compounds. We report here the synthesis, isolation, and characterization (NMR, IR, Raman, HRMS, X-ray) of a small-molecule hydrodisulfide and highlight its reactivity with reductants, nucleophiles, electrophiles, acids, and bases. Our experimental results establish that hydrodisulfides release H2S upon reduction and that deprotonation results in disproportionation to the parent thiol and S0, thus providing a mechanism for transsulfuration in the sulfane sulfur pool.
