Description

2,4-PENTANEDIONE, SILVER DERIVATIVE, also known as Silver acetylacetonate, is a metal-organic precursor with moderate solubility in polymer and organic solvents. It is light and moisture sensitive and can be annealed to produce polymer-incorporated silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). It is used to make silver impregnated nanocrystalline metal oxides, with a special focus on aluminum oxide, and can be used as a cationization reagent in combination with polar matrices such as 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acids.
