Dimethyl trichloroacetamidatophosphate, which is a weak monobasic acid, and some its salts - sodium, cesium, and tetraphenylstibonium - were synthesized. The dissociation constant of the acid (pK(H2O) 4.24) was determined by the method of dilution of aquoeus-methanolic solutions. The compounds were examined by IR and (1)H and (31)P NMR spectroscopy, and characteristic bands in the IR spectra were assigned. The crystal structure of CCl3C(O)NHP(O)(OCH3)2 was resolved: monoclinic crystals, unit cell parameters: a 8.469(2), b 10.963(2), c 11.839(3) ?, β 107.19°, space group P21/c, Z 4. The structure was refined to R 0.031. The crystals consist of centrosymmetric dimers linked by N-H...O hydrogen bonds between the phosphinoyl oxygen and NH hydrogen atoms, N..O distance 2.76 ?.
