Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1775-37-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,7,7 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1775-37:
(6*1)+(5*7)+(4*7)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*7)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 1775-37-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIS OF 4-4'-DIAMINO-DIPHENYL-SULFONE
-
Page/Page column 7, (2008/06/13)
A new process for the preparation and purification of 4-4'-diamino-diphenyl-sulfone (dapsone) is described. The process described is a three step process comprising a condensation reaction with the synthesis of a thioeter intermediate and then steps of oxidation and reduction in suitable conditions in order to obtain a product with good yield and purity.
